While working at his next company, Granada TV, he purchased an old 16mm film camera and used in-kind support in terms of post-production facilities to make his next projects.

Nicolas had turned into small film making factory producing three shorts on 16mm over five months while working full time.
The first film was entitled, "Mothers Ruin." This was about a thirty something mummy's boy who brings his girl friend home to dinner only to find the spirit of his dead mother interfering.

The second was called, "Only in Whispers." This touching drama is about a father who tries to break the cycle of violence against his daughter. This production was made for under £100 and is no longer than 3 minutes but is one of Nicolas's most powerful pieces of work.
