Festivals Nicolas has participated in include the 'Co-operative Young Film Makers Film & Video Festival,' the 'Film & Video Institute International Film & Video Festival' and 'Videosynchrasy.'
Since then this highly specialised and energetic individual has gone on to obtain a degree in 'Media studies (Television Production) with Business Management,' from the 'University of Manchester' in 2001.
He has spent the past four years working in the film/tv industry in all areas of production, gaining industry knowledge and reinforcing his craft. Companies that Nicolas has worked for include, Flextech TV (London), Granada TV and Mersey Television - "Hollyoaks." He has also ventured to the USA to work for a film company in Los Angeles for several months. In addition, he also worked in New York, teaching American children film making.
While working in the tv industry for the past 4 years, Nicolas has independently produced and directed several professional short films on all the top professional formats that consist of: - digi-beta/16mm/S16mm and 35mm.

At the age of 22, with a limited self-funded budget, Nicolas produced/ directed/written his first professional short film entitled, "The Greek man from Pakistan." The film was a black/comedy drama about a British born Greek male of who is constantly mistaken as Pakistani. The film was showcased at the 'Commonwealth Film Festival' in 2003 and was also short listed in the top 20 in the 'BBC New Talent Competition.'
